Evenweave cloth is woven in a plain weave style (the weft threads weave over and under the warp), using a uniform thread throughout. This ensures the cloth has the same number of threads and, therefore, stitches in a square inch. The thickness of the thread used in the weaving determines the count (number of stitches per inch).
Due to the uniform nature of the weave, evenweave cloth can be used for cross stitch by stitching over 2 threads or a single thread when patterns call for fractional stitches. It can also be used for embroidery work - particularly the higher count fabrics.
While the fiber used for evenweave cloth can be 100% linen, 100% cotton, or a blend of cotton and rayon, you will find here the blends many stitchers love and often refer to as Lugana. Our linen evenweave cloth can be found separately here.
Our evenweave blend collection comes in counts of 25, 28, and 32. Shop today for your evenweave lugana fabric cloth needs from our store in Canada.
